Financial Aid Services offers a secure, mobile-friendly platform to complete the majority of requirements. Chrome is the recommended browser. Be sure that your web browser is allowing pop-ups so that you may successfully validate your identity.

Incoming Students

Access our online platform for completing financial aid tasks through the Admissions Beacon Gateway portal. 

1. Log in to Beacon Gateway at umb.edu/gateway. 
2. Click on Financial Aid tab in the menu bar. 
3. Review the Financial Aid Checklist items.  
4. Take action on red checklist items. Click on the checklist item to view the task description and to access our secure, online Student Forms platform to complete tasks. 
   • If you experience issues logging in, try clearing your browser cache.
   • The first time taking action on a checklist item, confirm your information by selecting Register Account. Once your account confirmation is complete, you will create a PIN that will serve as your electronic signature.   

With your access established to view your required tasks, you can upload requirements directly by scanning documents and saving them to your computer (as a PDF or jpeg) or by taking a picture with your mobile device!

Returning Students

Please follow the steps below to complete your requirements through WISER.

1. Log in to WISER.
2. Go to Financial Aid Center.
3. Click on “View Your To Do List.”
4. Click on the To Do item(s) to view the task description.
5. Click on the “Upload/Complete Requirements Here” link to access our secure Student Forms platform.
   • If you experience issues logging in, try clearing your browser cache.
   • The first time accessing this platform, you will need to confirm your information by selecting Register Account. Once your account confirmation is complete, you will create a PIN that will serve as your electronic signature.  
6. Take action on your tasks.

You can upload requirements directly by scanning documents and saving them to your computer (as a PDF or jpeg) or by taking a picture with your mobile device!
