University Recognized for Excellence in Diversity
UMass Boston has received a 2024 Higher Ed Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is the second year the university has received the recognition.
The HEED Award from the INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine is the only national award that honors individual institutions for prioritizing diversity and inclusion across their campuses through initiatives, programs and outreach, recruitment, hiring practices, and more. Enriching the human core is part of the UMass Boston strategic plan and supported by continuous investment in professional development, mentorship, and health and well-being that fosters excellence throughout the university.
UMass Boston will be featured, along with 113 other recipients, in the November/December 2024 issue of INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine.
