Patricia Chouinard specializes in teaching various levels of Spanish as well as online elementary Spanish to adolescents and adults.  She has co-authored and published a chapter on progressive and critical theories in teacher education.  Additionally, Patricia has co-presented at national conventions on distance learning, the visual learner and student travel abroad.  She has also researched the educational experiences of Mexican origin youth in both Mexico and the U.S., and educational spaces of isolation associated with the transition from Mexican to U.S. public schools.  She is certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education to teach Spanish, and in Secondary Education Administration.  Patricia is a member of various state and national language acquisition and education research organizations.  She was born in Mexico and raised in Mexico and Spain.
