Course and Program Governance

Welcome to the course and program governance webpage. The following pages explain how the governance process works at UMB, and the systems for developing new and making changes to existing academic courses and programs. Many of these processes can be completed using Curriculog, an online data management software that handles the workflow for proposals related to academic courses and programs.

On these pages you will find information about the governance process and the Curriculog system, the types of proposals that can be submitted through Curriculog and guidelines for submitting them, and how to use the Curriculog system. There are also further guidelines and resources related to course and program development, links to other governance forms, and an FAQ and list of contacts in case you have questions or problems.

Changes will be effective in the WISER course catalog the first day of the term after they receive final approval. After the final approval is complete, the new information will appear in the next published version of Acalog, the official university catalog. Acalog catalogs are published each fall term and can be found here (https://catalog.umb.edu).

Please click HERE (https://umb.curriculog.com) to log into the Curriculog system.

Announcements: Summer 2025: We are currently in the process of updating the names of forms in the Curriculog system. If you intend to submit a proposal, please wait until the forms are labeled AY25-26 before you complete anything in the Curriculog system.
